What are the main problems with sub-standard Oil Filter ?

1, Some sub-standard filters try to save cost by using terrible filter element since it cannot be seen directly by the customer. Most of the time, this kind of inferior filter element will not be filtering the oil, but just let it bypass the filter

2, Some inferior filters are using very low quality or even recycled material for the filter canister. Most of the time, this kind of material will cause rustiness inside the filter and it will be destroying your engine instead of helping you to filter out the particles or steel aches.

3, Some inferior filter will be using clip spring or unsuitable spring inside the filter, which does not secure all the inner components of the filter and results in oil-bypassing.

4, Sub-standard filter is using low cost or high causticity nitrile typed valve, which can cause the surface of the base plate to become rusty and it will not stop the oil from draining back to the crankcase and destroy the engine during dry starts.

5, Some inferior filter will be trying to cut cost by saving the material used for the case plate. However, if the base plate is not made with sufficient material, it will result in oil leakage and cause the engine suffered in oil-starvation.
